I’m not quite sure how I feel about posting this, because there’s an asking of money at the end. However, it is sort of important, goes to a good cause, and the funds go directly to help pay off debt on an issue that affects a bit of trail that I’m sure quite a few of us use when commuting.
Good news! On Aug. 9, the Lake Forest Park City Council opted not to appeal a ruling by the Central Puget Sound Growth Management Hearings Board, clearing the way for a long-overdue upgrade of the Burke-Gilman Trail by King County.
Earlier this year, Cascade Bicycle Club went to bat for the Trail and for cyclists by taking this case before the Growth Management Hearings Board. Today we are just $3,934 away from covering our legal expenses. Can you help us?
While $28,439 seems a small price to pay for a precedent-setting case to support cyclists and pedestrians on the Burke-Gilman Trail, it’s a big investment for our non-profit organization. We are very grateful to have many gifts to support this landmark work. And, we are asking for your help once again. Please consider a donation to celebrate this victory and to the future of the Trail. Thank you!

Wow, that’s really great of you to spread the word! Thank you. Also, I wanted to clear up that on page two of the donation process, there is a check box to allocate the money to Burke-Gilman Legal Defense.
