Basic training gets bike riders in gear for the trail

“When you’re on the trail and you find yourself being spit over the handlebars, you don’t want to go straight over because you’ll land on your head,” said “Evil” Bob Dearin, one of the boot camp’s nutty professors.

Don’t stick your hands out. Your little spindly arms will not stop your much larger body, they just break. You want to be able to twist, then take that hand and throw it toward your hip, so you do a kind of sideways somersault.”
