Fremont bridge renovations start today, for the next 10 months.
An important note for pedestrians and cyclists is that you will NOT be able to cross during the “full closure” times.
“The 89-year-old bridge, which will undergo significant seismic and structural work as well as mechanical and electrical improvements, will be closed to buses and trucks Monday through March. It also will be constricted to one lane each way for cars; cyclists and pedestrians still can cross except during full closures.”
