I was scrounging around the shed and came across this little gem in one of our storage bins. We used it once, about 4 years ago to put water sealant onto our fence.
I’ve heard of people using these things to rinse off their bikes after a fresh muddy ride, and since I had some fresh road grime I figured I’d give it a shot.
Worked like a champ. I filled it almost to the top with warm water, added a big splash of fully concentrated simple green and started spraying away.
I was able to rinse the whole frame, rims, brakes, deraileurs, and even got the chain pretty clean. I towel dried everything and applied chain lube and tri-flow as needed and appropriate afterwards to help with rust.
All in all a very decent thing to have for a quick wash/rinse. In all it only took about 10 minutes to do.
I think waiting for it to dry wouldn’t have been as good as the pressure you can get with these things is fairly low.
There are plenty of other brands of multi-purpose sprayers out there, so just head to Lowe’s or something.
