“With that in mind I propose a race for sometime in April/May details to follow (once I figure out my work travel schedule):

The gist of it will be a 4 person coed relay style uphill race riding heavy bikes maybe 40 lbs and pulling loaded trailers, maybe 60 lbs . The kicker is that it will not only be coed, it will also be coteam each team will be assigned at the start by drawing and will be a mix of .83 and Cascade riders. It won’t require actual membership, so much as active participation in rides. Each rider will do at least 3 uphill legs (this should favor bike commuters) but the team total is 15 legs, this will require team work to balance the team. . I’m thinking one of the hills from the waterfront to the top of Magnolia. I will personally kick in $200 for first and $100 for second teams and a $20 bonus for any rider on the winning team that rode to the start instead of driving, and if we do the .83 standard of $5 per person that goes to first, it should be a pretty good prize pool. I’ll even throw in a few homebrews for the winning team. Anyone interested?”
