A recent email post to the nwcycling group about the lack of Tour of California coverage in our local PI.

I was disappointed that there was no coverage of the Tour of California in the PI, so I called.

The reporter that answered said that they had not heard of it, and that they didn’t think there would be much interest.

However, he checked the AP wire and found a write up, so he said they might cover it. It might help to get more folks to call and ask for them to cover the race, as it is a big deal for America, and I am sure there are folks in Seattle who would like to see some press on it.

Would you be willing to get the word out to call the PI Sports Dept?

So what do you all think? Do you find you get enough coverage online, or would you also prefer to read about it in print? If you do, contact them and let them know what you think.

It does look like they picked up the AP story from yesterday (at least online).
